I. Citizen Comments
Ben Burbic, President, 136 Terri Beth Place, NN, VA; commented positively about staffing changes in the NN Fire Department, specifically dealing with Chief Lieborld’s changes, improved communication. Having problems attracting good employees to the Dept. Encouraged Council to consider changing the residency requirements in the City.
Mr. Paul Link, made suggestions. Commented on David Squires article and the use of sending employees to the EAP. Asked Council to review policy. Commented on violations in employment law, specifically the NNPD. Factually misrepresentations made, specifically on NNTV. Christian love is the only way to solve problems. NNTV is a hostile work environment. Would like to speak to others about.
Mr. Mark Hewes, commented on the Operating budget. Numbers are erroneous. Wanted to make Council aware of errors going on for several years.
Senator John Miller shared highlights of the 2011 Va. General Assembly.
