TAKE NOTICE that a special meeting of the Newport News City Council has been called by City Manager Cynthia Rohlf, for Monday, March 23, 2020 at 6:00 P.M.
This meeting is being held for the following purpose:
To hold a Special Electronic Meeting under Section 44-146.21 (A) Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to confirm that a Declaration of State of Emergency/Disaster has been declared in the City of Newport News and invoking powers under Section 15.2-1413 of the Code of Virginia to ensure continuity of the City's governmental functions during the emergency/disaster.
