Shirley Spencer, requested, $2,021. be returned to her mortgage company. Cannot afford her own home that she worked hard for. Change tax exempt form. City making it difficult. Wrote to the Mayor, but received no response.
Mr. Wail Eisa, 799 Shields Road, NN, addressed proposed changes to taxi guidelines, i.e. reciprocity. Also commented on Daily Press article dated 9/22/2011. 55 cabs can do business, This was stated in error. New laws designed to protect would have opposite affect. NNATO discuss proposed changes at Taxi Advisory Meeting.
Jeff Griffin, Taxi owner, new regulations will put many small cab owners out of business. Proposed regulations too stiff.
Kimberly Winn, advocated for West Avenue Library, as well as the need of a new library in the Lee Hall area. Commented on major flooding and drainage problems on Buxton Avenue. Inquired about redevelopment in area of Ridley Circle.
Cleveland Mabry, 833 29th Street, NN, inquired about town hall meetings in the Southeast community.
John Vaughn, President of Associated Cabs, addressed changes to the taxi guidelines. Expressed concern regarding proposed changes, particular operating expenses/increases.
